FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Window Tint
1. What's the difference between standard, carbon, and ceramic film?
Standard film adds shade and privacy at the lowest price. Carbon film is non-reflective and color-stable, with better heat and glare rejection. Ceramic film gives the best clarity and the most heat and infrared rejection. Carbon and ceramic both carry a limited lifetime warranty.
2. How long does it take, and how soon can I roll my windows down?
Most auto tint jobs are finished the same day. We'll give you a time estimate when you book. Leave your windows up for a few days so the film can cure.
3. Do you tint homes and businesses?
Yes. We offer residential and commercial window film for heat, glare, privacy, UV protection, security, and decoration. Call for a free estimate.
4. How do you cut the film?
All of our automotive film is computer-cut for a precise, perfect fit every time, so no knife ever touches your car.
5. Will window tint interfere with my phone, GPS, or radio?
No. Our films are signal friendly, so they won't interfere with GPS, cell service, radio, or tire pressure sensors.
6. What tint is legal in Maryland?
Tint laws vary by state and by window. See our Tint Laws page for Maryland's limits and a quick look at other states.
7. Is it normal to see haze or small water bubbles after tinting?
Yes. A little haze or a few small water pockets are normal while the film cures and usually clear up on their own. If anything still looks off after the film has cured, give us a call.
8. How should I clean my tinted windows?
Wait until the film has cured, then use a soft microfiber cloth and an ammonia-free glass cleaner. Avoid abrasive pads or scrapers on the tinted side.
9. Can you remove old tint?
Yes, and we do a lot of it. We remove old, faded, or bubbling tint, and we can install new film if you want it.
Moving to Maryland? Window tint that was fine in another state may need to come off before your car can pass Maryland state inspection and be registered here. We help military families and new Maryland residents with this all the time.
Ceramic Coating
10. Can I get tint and ceramic coating done together?
Yes. Many customers do both in one visit. Call and we'll put together the right combination for your vehicle.
11. What is ceramic coating?
Ceramic coating is a clear, liquid nano-ceramic formula that bonds to your vehicle's surfaces and hardens into a glass-like protective layer. It adds deep gloss and makes washing much easier.
12. Does ceramic coating make my car scratch-proof?
No. It adds a hard protective layer and helps resist light marring, but no coating makes paint scratch-proof or chip-proof.
13. How much does ceramic coating cost?
Every vehicle is different, so we provide custom quotes based on size, condition, and the surfaces you want coated. Call or stop by for pricing. Learn more on our Ceramic Coatings page.
